Tax Season Tips

Tax season is quickly approaching, and you may be on the lookout for some tax tips. With the help of Chris Bird, Idaho REALTORS® has a few suggestions for our members on how to navigate this tax season.

Additional Tax Tips:

• Rember – the IRS will never contact you through email or a phone call. Official IRS correspondence only takes place through the USPS.
• Tax-related Identity Theft occurs when personal information is stolen and used to file income taxes in your name to steal your tax return. If you believe your tax return has been stolen, complete an IRS Form 14039, Identity Theft Affidavit.
• If you cannot prepare your taxes on time, remember you are able to file for an extension.
