Michelle Bailey — Eligible Candidate for NAR Region 12 Regional Vice President | Idaho REALTORS®

Why I’m Running
Like you, I’m an agent and broker. As a REALTOR®, a member of NAR, I help buyers and sellers every day, which gives me firsthand experience and a deeper understanding of the challenges facing our industry. I want to put this insight and experience to work for members across the Region as your 2028 RVP.
Region 12 has been blessed with tremendous leaders whose vision and commitment made us the envy of other regions. I want to continue that stewardship — and build on it by leveraging technology, especially social media, videos and webinars, to reach more of our brokers and members than ever before.
I want to bring the Region to you, making it more personable and accessible to every member. I am fearless, willing to have tough conversations with compassion, and I will create a collaborative environment for all members of Region 12. That’s what you can expect from me if elected as your RVP.
What I’d Focus On
Leveraging technology to reach more members
There are tremendous opportunities to bring the Region to the members. Social media, videos, webinars are wonderful tools to help connect us as a region, grow our businesses and keep us informed. I want all of our members to be able to access a regional meeting, a seminar or video that adds value for them as REALTORS®. Moreover, I want to use technology to close the information gap for members and give them an avenue and voice with NAR through the RVP.
Showing the region’s value
Working with state leadership to strengthen how we communicate with members, brokers, MLSs, and associations, so the decisions made at the national level actually reach the people they affect. One of the greatest values of the Region is to be that conduit of information for members, sharing what’s relevant and important in a timely manner.
Bringing MLS insight to the table
The most challenging issues facing our industry right now run straight through MLS policy and data. That’s the work I’ve been doing. That’s the experience and insight I want to share with the members, but more importantly champion their concerns and ideas on these issues in front of NAR as RVP.

A Little About Me
My journey to real estate began in 2005 when I moved from California to Boise, Idaho with my two young children in search of a fresh start. After a successful career in public safety, I earned my real estate license in 2006 as a single mother in a new community, building my business through determination, resilience, and a commitment to serving others.
When the housing market collapsed during the Great Recession, I experienced firsthand the challenges that so many real estate agents and homeowners faced. I rebuilt my business from the ground up while helping countless families navigate short sales and one of the most difficult housing markets in history. That experience reinforced my belief that strong leadership, education, and advocacy matter most when our members face uncertainty.
I became a Broker in 2009 and have since built one of Idaho’s top-performing real estate organizations. In 2016, I formed a strategic partnership that helped grow my business into a multimillion-dollar enterprise focused on serving clients, developing agents, and building sustainable businesses.
Passionate about leadership and professional development, I became a business coach with Forward Coaching in 2019, mentoring agents across the country to build thriving businesses. My commitment to excellence has earned me recognition as the 2021 Boise Regional REALTORS® Realtor® of the Year and one of the Idaho Business Review’s Power 25 most influential leaders in Idaho residential real estate.
Experiencing both the highs and lows of the real estate industry inspired me to become deeply involved in organized real estate, where I believe strong advocacy, professional standards, and leadership are essential to protecting property rights, real estate agents, and the consumers they serve.
I have served at the local, state, and national levels of the REALTOR® organization. I currently serve as the 2026 President of Idaho REALTORS®, Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board, and previously served as Chair of NAR’s Multiple Listing Issues and Policy Committee. I am also a long-time RPAC Major Investor and Hall of Fame member, reflecting my unwavering commitment to advocacy and the future of the real estate profession. As a candidate for Region 12 Vice President, I am committed to strengthening communication between NAR and the states, developing future leaders, and ensuring REALTORS® across Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington have a collaborative, informed, and influential voice at the national level.
