(Boise, Idaho) – Demonstrating an unyielding commitment to community service and positive change, Bart Cochran of LEAP Housing has been chosen as the first-ever recipient of the Idaho REALTORS® (IR) Good Neighbor Award.
The IR Good Neighbor Award is a newly instituted honor designed to spotlight REALTORS® who, through voluntary efforts, make considerable impacts on their communities. Beyond being members in good standing of IR, nominees are evaluated based on their individual volunteer contributions, the broadness and depth of their impact, and their role model potential for fellow REALTORS®. This year IR received 19 nominations from various organizations across Idaho. Bart Cochran and LEAP Housing was announced as the winner on Thursday, October 12th during the IR 2023 Convention.
LEAP Housing, based in Boise, is at the forefront of affordable housing solutions in Idaho. Embodying the principle that everyone deserves a secure, affordable home, LEAP’s mission spans a broad spectrum – from operating temporary housing programs to preserving existing affordable housing. Their vision of transforming communities through hope, connection, and secure housing resonates deeply in the heart of Idaho.
Bart Cochran, as the founder and CEO of LEAP, has combined his profound knowledge of real estate and finance to devise innovative, affordable housing programs that have garnered national attention. His dedication extends beyond LEAP, as he serves the community as a licensed REALTOR® with Silvercreek Realty Group and co-founder of Property People.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, a ceremony will be held at the LEAP Housing Office tomorrow, November 1st, at 11:30 am, where Idaho REALTORS® president Denise Lundy will present a check for $1,500 to Mr. Cochran. Idaho REALTORS® wishes to congratulate Bart Cochran on his accomplishments in service to his community.
