Idaho REALTORS® Award Scholarships to Community-Minded Students

BOISE, Idaho – Idaho REALTORS®, the voice of Real Estate in Idaho, is announcing its six scholarship recipients for 2021. The scholarship recipients are attending an Idaho college or university in the fall, and earned the awards through academics, achievement, and community service.

“Idaho REALTORS® is proud to offer scholarship support to these exceptional students,” said Cindy Hunter, President, Idaho REALTORS® Association. “Their purist of higher education will positively impact not only their future but that of their families and their communities. We at Idaho REALTORS® wish them the very best in all of their future endeavors.”

The recipient of the top Idaho REALTORS® scholarship of $2,500 is Martha Smith. Martha is from Kooskia, Idaho and attended Clearwater Valley High School where she was class valedictorian. She will attend the University of Idaho in the fall as a freshman and plans to study Economics and Finance, and eventually attend law school to practice real estate law. Martha is also a practicing real estate agent for Idaho County Properties, being one the youngest real estate agents in Idaho.

The five recipients of the $1,500 scholarships are:

Dexter Capps (Filer): He will be attending College of Idaho next year as a freshman where he plans to major in computer science with a minor in music. Dexter ‘s passion is music. He enjoys singing and playing the piano. He graduated first in his class at Filer High School.

Ainslee Evans (Homedale): She will be attending the University of Idaho in the fall as a freshman and plans to study business management with a minor in economics. Ainslee was class valedictorian and class president at Homedale High School. She played multiple sports in high school and was an FFA officer for two years.

Joe Sparano (Lenore): He will be attending the University of Idaho in the fall as a freshman with a major in mechanical engineering. Joe played multiple sports in high school and was captain of his football, baseball and basketball teams. Joe was also valedictorian of his class at Orofino Junior Senior High School.

Taci Rouse (New Plymouth): Taci will attend the University of Idaho in the fall as a freshman and plans to study interior architecture and design with a minor in business. Taci was captain of her high school dance team and loves to spend her time outdoors.

Grace Hanigan (Payette): She will attend the University of Idaho in the fall as a Junior and plans to study management and human resources with a minor in marketing. Grace was class valedictorian and class president at Payette High School. She enjoys making artwork, volunteering and spending time with friends and family.
