2026 IR Elections: Updates, Appointments, and Elections

We’re excited to announce the official candidate list for the IR 2026 elections. These candidates are running for First Vice President, East District Vice President, and State Allocated NAR Director. Katrina Wehr has since been added to the ballot for State Allocated NAR Director through the petition process. IR did not receive applicants for the North District Vice President position. Next steps for the North District Vice President position are outlined below.

First Vice President Candidates

Juan Contreras

Juan Contreras brings eleven years of REALTOR® experience and a strong record of local leadership to his candidacy for First Vice President of Idaho REALTORS®. Representing the Greater Idaho Falls Association of REALTORS®, Juan is associated with HomeSmart Realty Group and has served as Local Board/Association President and Director from 2018 to 2023, as well as State Association Director from 2021 to 2022. He currently serves as a State Committee/Task Force member for 2025-2026 and is a 2020 graduate of the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy.

Juan brings a unique perspective to leadership, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing REALTORS® in communities of all sizes across the state. Known for building relationships, fostering collaboration, and uniting diverse viewpoints, he has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to protecting private property rights, advancing homeownership opportunities, and supporting REALTORS® throughout Idaho.

Kristie Mattoon

Kristie Mattoon brings nearly a decade of dedicated service to her candidacy for First Vice President of Idaho REALTORS®. A REALTOR® with RE/MAX Connections and a member of the Latah County Board of REALTORS® for nine years, Kristie has served her local association as Secretary from 2018 to 2023, President-Elect 2024, and continues her leadership as a State Committee/Task Force member, serving on the Legislative Committee as Trustee since 2023. She is a 2021 graduate of the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy. She has her GRI, C2EX and ABR designations, as well. 

Kristie’s service as a Federal Political Coordinator, State Political Coordinator and steady, consistent involvement across governance and advocacy roles reflects her deep commitment to the REALTOR® organization and her readiness to take on greater statewide responsibility.


East District Vice President Candidate

Carissa Coats

Carissa Coats brings thirteen years of REALTOR® experience and a distinguished record of professional achievement to her candidacy for East District Vice President of Idaho REALTORS®. A REALTOR® with Century 21 High Desert and a member of the Greater Idaho Falls Association of REALTORS®, Carissa served as Local Board/Association President in 2024 and as Director from June 2020 through December 2023 and again in 2025. She currently serves as State Association Director in 2026 and as a State Committee/Task Force member since 2024, and is a 2023 graduate of the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy.

Carissa holds the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), NAR e-PRO®, and Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) designations. She has been named REALTOR® of the Year and received the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Entrepreneur of the Year award. Her previous career as a news producer and reporter allowed her to build strong relationships throughout Eastern Idaho, and she continues to draw on those connections and community knowledge to advocate for property owners and help families achieve the dream of homeownership.

State Allocated NAR Director Candidates

Patrick Malone

Patrick Malone, Designated Broker for Century 21 High Desert, SVN High Desert Commercial, and HDR Referral Real Estate, has been a REALTOR® since 1998 and a member of the Greater Idaho Falls Association of REALTORS® for twenty-nine years. Patrick has served in nearly every capacity at the local level, including local Association President, local MLS President, and East District Vice President, and served as Idaho REALTORS® President in 2022. He has served as an NAR Director for the past three years and was named Idaho REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year in 2025.

Patrick serves on NAR’s Risk Management Issues Committee and previously served on NAR’s Safety Committee and Idea Exchange Council for Brokers. He is an NAR RPAC Golden R, President’s Circle, and RPAC Hall of Fame investor, has represented the East District on the Idaho Real Estate Commission’s Education Council for nine years, and owns a real estate school where he has been a Certified Instructor with IREC since 2014.

Marion Wadsworth

Marion Wadsworth, Broker/Owner of Inspire Idaho Real Estate and a member of the MiniCassia Association of REALTORS®, has been a REALTOR® for twenty years and is seeking another term as State Allocated NAR Director. Marion previously served as President of Idaho REALTORS®, has served as an NAR Director for the past three years, and currently chairs the National RPAC Major Investor Council.

In her application statement, Marion described serving as an NAR Director as one of the greatest privileges of her REALTOR® career, citing her work advocating on Capitol Hill, mentoring emerging leaders, and strengthening RPAC engagement. She emphasized her commitment to building bridges between members and leadership at every level and her belief that Idaho REALTORS® deserve representation grounded in listening, collaboration, and open communication.


Katrina Wehr

Katrina Wehr, is a REALTOR® with Stack Rock Realty, LLC, and a member of Boise Regional REALTORS®. Katrina joins the ballot for State Allocated NAR Director by petition, backed by strong support from her fellow REALTORS®. She previously served as Idaho REALTORS® State President, leading the association through the Sitzer/Burnett verdict and the industry changes that followed. Her leadership history also includes serving as President of the Intermountain Multiple Listing Service and President of Boise Regional REALTORS®, along with active involvement on committees, in event marketing, and in building connections between BRR and other organizations across the industry.

North District Vice President Candidate

IR did not receive any applications or petitions for North District Vice President by the August 10th deadline. In accordance with the bylaws, the position will be appointed by the IR president to ensure a candidate is able to fill the position and take office on January 1st.
