THE BEST LEADERS NEVER STOP LEARNING

The purpose of the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy (IRLA) is to offer local Presidents, President Elects, First Vice Presidents/Treasurers the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge necessary to confidently lead their local board/association.

Participants can expect to acquire the following skills and knowledge from the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy:

Local, State, and National Association Governance and Administration
Conducting Efficient Meetings
Effective Communication Strategies
Strategic Planning and Implementation
Personnel Management and Team Building

Candidates will work together focusing on strengthening their leadership skills. Sessions promote the development of leadership skills through presentations from subject matter experts, team-building exercises, personal analysis and networking.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Participation in IRLA is open to all members of Idaho REALTORS®. Qualified candidates will be selected to participate in the program. Presidents, President Elects, First Vice Presidents/Treasurers are encouraged to apply.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

A refundable deposit of $250 must be included with your application (payable online via Credit Card). If accepted into the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy, you will be billed for the remaining $750 tuition fee. TUITION MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO THE FIRST SESSION. Tuition for the program covers each training session, registration for IR’s Annual Convention, meals during the sessions and instructional materials. Additional costs to participants will include transportation from home to the meeting site and hotel accommodations. NOTE: YOUR TRAVEL AND LODGING COSTS ARE NOT COVERED BY THE ACADEMY. PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL AND HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS.

Applicants are encouraged to communicate with their association executives regarding available grants, scholarships, or financial support from their local association.

Incomplete applications will not be considered

ATTENDANCE

To graduate from the Idaho REALTORS® Leadership Academy, a participant is required to attend ALL sessions. These months are confirmed, and official dates will be subject to change based on speaker and hotel availability. Sessions may require an overnight stay.

Session I – February 1st- 4th in Boise
Session II –April 21st and 22nd in Boise
Session III – June 23rd and 24th (3-hour virtual meetings each day)
Session IV – October 5th – October 9th in Sun Valley
