GRI 202 – Contract in Real Estate Transactions: Negotiations

This course provides a comprehensive overview of basic contract law and how it impacts the

Real estate licensee. The topics of unauthorized practice of law, types and validity of contracts, and an overview of the elements of a contract are covered in depth. Other areas addressed include the parol evidence rule, legally competent parties, unilateral and bilateral contracts, mutual agreement, assignment/novation, contract breach and misrepresentation. Real estate contract preparation is also included.

It is not enough to know contracts, but you need to work to get the best deals and to make your next transaction less complicated. Learn to identify the elements essential to effective negotiation. This session will provide you with in-depth information and specific ways to identify behavior styles, options, interests, leverage, and communication methods that can make or break a negotiation.
