Carey Farmer Named 2017 REALTOR® of the Year

On Sept. 14, at the 2017 Idaho REALTORS® (IR) annual member convention, Carey Farmer was awarded the Idaho REALTOR® of the Year (ROTY) Award. Carey is the 56th recipient of this prestigious award and will now represent Idaho at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) REALTOR® of the Year ceremonies.

“Carey exemplifies what a “REALTOR®” means,” said Isaac Chavez, CEO of the Idaho REALTORS®, “She performs at the highest level of real estate and yet still manages to give so much back to her association and community. I wish we could duplicate Carey a hundred times over!”

The REALTOR® of the Year committee consists of four immediate past ROTYs and the selection is based on a criterion that includes civic activities, business & educational accomplishments, local board activities, state association activities and national association activities.

Farmer, a licensed REALTOR® since 2003, is currently a broker associate at Group One Sothesby’s International Realty. She is on numerous boards and committees at the local, state and national level. Farmer volunteers her time to helping her local community whenever she isn’t spending time with her husband and two boys. She volunteers with Junior League of Boise, Boise Regional REALTORS® Foundation, Boise Police Auxiliary, Discovery Center, Literacy Lab and many other non-profits in the Treasure Valley. Farmers’ most recent accomplishments include:

  • 2017 REALTOR® of the Year, Boise Regional REALTORS
